Zeytinburnu Urban Transformation Project is on the International Platform!

Zeytinburnu had been one of the districts that experienced multi-dimensional problems until 1999 despite its central location.

That the historical and cultural assets could not be protected, the distorted housing, insufficient green areas and that the natural gas had not been conducted to the district yet; the negativities such as these used to reduce the life standard and make people leave Zeytinburnu.

In the basis of the successful activities that had been started in 1999 for making Zeytinburnu, which had not been able to get its share from the average developedness cake of Istanbul from the beginning, advanced to the status of a modern and developed district as soon as possible, there is the concept of contemporary municipal government and the modern urban texture projects consummating it.

Firstly, the Urban Transformation project being implemented under the leadership of the Municipality of Greater Istanbul continues. With this project, Zeytinburnu will not only change its unsound based and walled buildings but also its complete face. Now, Zeytinburnu has been drawing a graph suiting well with the development rate displayed by Turkey in recent years with its green areas, life centers, with the Infohouses that we provided for our children as a modern education model and with its neat and clean streets and with the area scanned social surveys carried out by us about various subjects.

Today, Zeytinburnu has a different outlook and a vision that could compete with the world wide projects in the MIPIM International Project Financing Investment Platform held in Cannes, France by its Urban Transformation Pilot Project to be realized in the extent of the Earthquake Master Plan.
