Hacı Mahmud Ağa Tekkesi

It is in the Merkez Efendi Mahallesi, on the Mevlevihane Street.

This tekke was erected as a masjid during the time of Bayezid II: (1481-1512) by a charitable person named Hacı Mahmut.  Şeyh Salih Salâheddin Efendi, Şabani branch of Halvetilik, has given the masjid its sheikhdom identity in 1874 and so has become the founder and the first postnişin (sheikh of a dervish lodge) of this Hacı Mahmud Ağa Tekkesi.

Following the abolishment of the tekkes in 1925 it not only stopped serving as a tekke but as a masjit also, it has enjoyed the damage of time, its land has been occupied and grew into a ruin.
