Ironsmiths' Site

Zeytinburnu Ironsmiths' Site was established by iron tradesmen from Persembe Pazari in the years 1988-89. Within the site the fullness ratio is nearly 100 %, there are about 700 big and small business places.

The site that provides employment for almost 2500 persons and gone over by about 10 thousand persons per day, is currently the iron-steel center that dominates the largest market share in Turkey and is an important source for exportation.

The primary sectors activating in the site are steel profile pipes, steel pipes, industrial pipe types with 60 %. Construction insulation materials supply is also an important business branch in the site.

The closeness of the site to the International Port Zeyport, to Ataturk Airport and to Zeytinburnu Transporters' Site give the site a significant advantage.

Murat Aydin, the Mayor of Zeytinburnu, spends efforts to produce solutions through transportation projects initially, in order to attract more attention to the Ironsmiths' Site that makes an important contribution to national income.
