Accor Group, one of the greatest hotel chain enterprises of the world, starts up the 4 star Novotel and 3 star Ibis Hotel chains in Turkey with Aksel, a joint venture of Akfen-Yuksel.
Accor Group, one of the greatest hotel chain enterprises of the world, starts up the 4 star Novotel and 3 star Ibis Hotel chains in Turkey with Aksel, a joint venture of Akfen-Yuksel. The introduction of the project, which is to include the two hotels, was held in Zeytinburnu by a ceremony to which Murat Aydin, Mayor of Zeytinburnu attended.
Novotel and Ibis, which will be had built in Aksel Zeytinburnu Tourism Complex and will be managed by Accor Group of France, will have the bed capacities of 424 beds and 456 beds, respectively.
Murat Aydin, Mayor of Zeytinburnu, who made a speech in the ceremony, spoke as follows; "We had declared that we would make Zeytinburnu the window of Istanbul opening to the world when we were first elected in 1999. Those two hotels to be built in Zeytinburnu are the indicators that we are one step closer to our goal. We are ready to support every investment to be made in the county."
Gerard Pelisson, the Founder President of Accor Group, who mentioned about Mayor Murat Aydin with praise, stated that they were pleased to make Istanbul gain 2 new hotels and that they believed in the tourism potential of Turkey, and spoke as; "We believe that Turkey will enter the European Union."
The hotels that are planned to be constructed on a total area of 26 thousand 500 square meters will be located in Aksel Zeytiburnu Tourism Complex on Sahil Yolu Kennedy Avenue.
There will be 228 bedrooms, 7 of which will be for the handicapped, in Ibis Hotel and 212 rooms, 2 of which will be suits and 5 will be for the handicapped in Novotel Hotel. Within the complex, will be, as well as the two hotels, a separate parking lot for 283 vehicles, a multifunctional hall for 250 people, 4 conference halls 2 of which are for 50, and 2 are for 25 persons each, café-bar, fitness, Turkish bath and sauna.
